A visually guided missile flew over, fortunately Mo Chen had prepared in advance and the helicopter narrowly avoided it. Gu Babao was startled, looking at Mo Chen with panic in her innocent eyes.

What's going on

Why is this happening

In movies she'd watched, others would use missiles to attack planes; usually the protagonist would be piloting an aircraft dodging the missile and she thought it was so cool. But when it happened to her sitting in the plane with the main character, she sweated profusely.

"Mo Chen..."

Seeing that visual missile fly back again, Gu Babao felt anxious, but seeing Mo Chen's smiling face amidst the battle flames, she unexpectedly felt a sense of reassurance.

It seemed as if he was someone worth trusting.

And it also seemed like she should trust him too.

The plane suddenly jolted, and Mo Chen narrowly avoided the missile. Once a visual-seeking missile fails to hit its target twice in succession, it becomes useless. It was Gu Babu who nearly fell over; she tightly held onto the handlebar. Mo Chen's voice was extremely gentle: "Sweetheart, hold on tight."

As soon as Gu Babu came to her senses, she heard an explosion sound from the plane, followed by a violent jolt that scared her so much she nearly screamed. Mo Chen frowned slightly; the mother ship below seemed intent on shooting down their helicopter. It fired three guided missiles in a triangular formation right away.

Mo Chen cursed the advanced weaponry of the first terrorist organization in his heart, turned to look at Gu Babu beside him, and handed her another safety belt for her to fasten. The plane then executed a sharp roll maneuver, narrowly dodging through the gap between the missiles.

They were barely flying past the missiles.

Babu screamed until she lost her voice and then realized she shouldn't distract Mo Chen. She covered her mouth and leaned against the cabin door in fear, almost wanting to cry from fright.

Mo Chen glanced at her but ignored Gu Babu; under these circumstances, even a slight distraction on his part would result in him being blown to pieces. How could he notice her with those three missiles coming back at them

This time they were flying a curving path back.

Within the blink of an eye, Mo Chen had to calculate the trajectory and speed of the missiles' flight while dodging them. In this moment, he couldn't help but thank his parents for giving him such a useful brain.

The instant the plane passed through the missile's path, due to the curved trajectory, it hit the tail rotor of the helicopter instead of damaging any critical parts. However, an unexpected event occurred that Mo Chen did not anticipate.

Due to a violent collision, the door’s safety suddenly opened. Gu Babbo had been holding onto the handrail tightly next to the cabin door to avoid collisions; once the door was open, she clearly got thrown out...

"Ah..." Gu Babbo screamed. Fortunately, the cabin door wasn't knocked off. She grabbed onto the handle of the aircraft door and dangled in mid-air, a frightening sight. "Moy Chen, save me! Moy Chen..."

At nearly one thousand meters high, with blue seas below, enemy warships’ missiles were waiting to strike her—she couldn’t evade them, nor could she look down. Gu Babbo realized just how perilous the situation was.

"Moy Chen..." Tears welled up in her eyes as three more missiles shot upwards. Moy Chen wished he had four hands; two weren't enough to catch Gu Babbo in time.

The missiles were approaching.

"Baby, stay strong and be careful…" Moy Chen smiled at the utterly terrified Gu Babbo, his tone incredibly gentle. "Hang on tight. I haven’t caught up with you yet; we still have to get married first. I won't die, neither will I allow you to."

Gu Babbo was petrified with fear; Moy Chen told her to hold on tightly—she could only do so. Poor Gu Babbo had never faced such an intense situation in her life. She was usually a gentle person whose life had its ups and downs, but nothing as violent as this.

"Moy Chen, I’m scared..." Just as she said that, the plane suddenly jolted; the helicopter tilted to one side. Gu Babbo let out a scream, her body pressed against the aircraft. As soon as she loosened her legs, she saw missiles flying towards them. She instinctively pulled her legs up and narrowly avoided being hit. Before she could breathe a sigh of relief, the plane straightened again, causing her to plummet like someone had dropped her. Her hands were almost bleeding from gripping so hard; she felt on the brink of collapse.

"Baby, hold on..." Moy Chen gave her an apologetic smile. While Gu Babbo was still in a daze, another jolt struck the plane. The missiles had initially approached from behind her, and now three more were bouncing back towards her front—this was sheer terror...

She could only watch helplessly as the three missiles flew towards her from the front. Mo Chen, seeing she was terrified and had frozen in place, shouted harshly, "Baby!"

Gu Babu snapped back to reality just in time; her body nearly flew out of the aircraft, but somehow managed to dodge two of the missiles mid-air. She turned around and saw that the missiles had fallen into the sea, letting out a sigh of relief.

The plane returned to its normal level, and Gu Babu was once again in free fall. Seeing they were temporarily safe, Mo Chen reached his hand out, saying, "Baby, grab my hand; I'll pull you up."

Gu Babu was glad for the help but found it difficult to hold on with only one hand. Mo Chen couldn't leave his seat either and was about to make an attempt when he noticed that the missile launcher below had shifted position – they were using sea-to-air missiles.

Mo Chen cursed, just as Gu Babu stretched out her hand. To her surprise, Mo Chen retracted his, leaving her in a precarious situation with one hand gripping onto the door while her body dangled. "Mo Chen! I'm going to fall!" Gu Babu cried.

Moo Chen felt for her but was at a loss; there wasn't enough time as the missiles were about to fire – he couldn't pull her up in time. Mo Chen said quickly, "Baby, hold on just a little longer. We'll be okay."

Mo Chen raised the helicopter’s altitude and Gu Babu realized that relying solely on him wouldn’t save them both; she needed to do something herself. She put more effort into grabbing onto something with her free hand but missed the handle, almost falling once again and screamed.

Moo Chen could only encourage her to try harder. Luckily for Gu Babu, she wasn't too heavy and had decent reflexes – after several attempts, she managed to grab hold of something properly this time around.

However, before she could relax, the missiles below were launched... "Do you think Mochen could have come up with such a child"Everyone had the same question. Wu Shuang counted on her fingers, "It’s been six years now. If I’m not mistaken, it should be during the time...
