Gu Xiaobei analyzed and weighed the pros and cons, ultimately deciding to make every effort to stabilize them.

Although Warming didn't manage these affairs personally, she was well-informed. She often discussed it with Cai Xiaojing; having their advice would be best for not leaving.

This day, while accompanying Anning to have dinner with a jeweler, Warming unexpectedly found that Du Di was also present at the dinner party. She actually had no idea what Du Di did in his career.

During the meal, Du Di explained that this jeweler was his friend; occasionally they would meet and eat together. He didn't expect her to be there as well. It was the most enjoyable dinner party Warming had ever attended. The jeweler was around 30 years old, wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, appearing scholarly and gentlemanly. When she told Ye Nimei that she would have dinner with him, he readily agreed without hesitation. She only realized why Ye Nimei was so agreeable when seeing this man; such a man would never be troublesome to women.

He had good manners, spoke well, and his etiquette was even better. It was no wonder that Du Di called him his friend; he was several years older than Du Di but they got along very well. Both were the same type of men. Warming thought to herself that people truly do associate with those similar to themselves. All of Du Di's friends were like Du Di, and Ye Nimei's circle included Tang Shuwen, Lin Ning, Gu Zhipian, Su Ran, Lin Diyun, etc., all fitting into the same category.

Aside from Warming, Anning also brought a few executives. One was Gu Xiaobei, and the other two were business managers and general managers of the jewelry department as well as two top executives from the Jewelry Association. The business manager was around 30 years old, shrewd and capable, with exceptional social skills. She managed to drink seven or eight glasses of white liquor alongside the two executives without showing any signs of drunkenness, greatly boosting Anning's image. When those two were at their most enthusiastic and asked Warming for a toast, she smiled and accepted two cups as well. These were all shots of white liquor, burning in her stomach after swallowing them down. Her alcohol tolerance had improved through social interactions over time; thus, she wouldn't get drunk from these two shots. When those two continued to pester her with toasts, Du Di politely intervened on her behalf, and the evening ended with a pleasant atmosphere as several men enjoyed drinks together.

Cai Xiaojing was quite surprised. When had Warming become so close with Du Di They hadn't met many times before, and they spoke well enough; this time his sister even hit her. If one didn't know about it, they would think the two were very familiar.

Seeing that Du Di helped to fend off unwanted drinks for her, Cai Xiaojing was puzzled.

At the dinner, Ruiwen sat next to Dudi and was much more talkative and smiling than usual. She mostly spoke with Dudi, occasionally toasting the jewelry merchant. Midway through, Ruiwen went to the restroom; her face in the mirror was flushed red from alcohol, which continued to rise.

She splashed water on her face, reapplied makeup, and Xie Xiaojing, washing her hands nearby, asked, "Nuannuan, when did you two become so close"

"We're not that close, but I really enjoy talking to him."

"That's weird. I feel very uncomfortable around him." Xie dried her hands.

Ruiwen smiled and reapplied lipstick, fixing her slightly disheveled hair. "How could you Dudi is humorous and gentle; how can it be uncomfortable talking to him"

"That's probably just for you!"

"I really enjoy talking with him. He feels very familiar." Ruiwen said with a smile, and they returned to the suite together where several managers were already quite drunk. After finishing their drinks, everyone dispersed.

Xie Xiaojing wanted to send Ruiwen back, but Dudi said, "Miss Xie, Ruiwen and I want to have another drink. Why don't I take her home later"

Xie looked at Ruiwen who smiled and nodded; then Xie pulled her aside and asked, "What should we tell General Manager Ye when he calls"

"I'll call him and tell him I'll be late," Warm Smiles said with a warm smile. Cai Xiaojing could only give up. Warm Smiles got into Du Di's car; she genuinely felt that Du Di wouldn't hurt her, and it was very comfortable being together. During the meal, Du Di mentioned that he had been back in America for a while but returned again to accompany his grandfather. He had lived and worked in America for many years and hardly ever visited this city where he was born.

Listening to him made Warm Smiles suddenly feel a sense of duty to help him get familiar with the city.

She felt an inexplicable urge to do so.

"I really like City A. Over these years, I've been to many cities, but my favorite is still City A. What about you Do you like America" Warm Smiles asked with a smile.

Du Di replied with a laugh, "It's not about liking or disliking; it just feels that way. Where I am doesn't matter to me either."

"How could that be People all have their hometowns and roots. The city where one is born and raised is different from other cities," Warm Smiles said with a smile. "I start missing home when I'm away from City A for some time. Have you ever felt like this... feeling apprehensive about returning to your hometown"

"No!" Du Di smiled warmly.

Warm Smiles pointed at him and laughed, saying, "You probably don't have feelings for your hometown. If you did, you would feel that way."

"Maybe," he said.

The two of them had just left the dining table after a decent meal and quite a bit of drinking. Du Di was feeling a little uncomfortable from the alcohol, so the car stopped by the riverside. Wen Ran supported him and asked, "Are you not feeling well"

Du Di waved his hand with a smile and said, "I'm fine, I just haven't had this much to drink in a long time."

"I thought men generally don’t hold their liquor very well. Someone like you must have lots of social engagements, so shouldn’t your tolerance be pretty good" Wen Ran smiled as she spoke. "I know how unpleasant it feels to get drunk. When I started drinking, even a little bit would make me tipsy, but now I’m much better and can handle several times the amount of white liquor."

"I had quite a few bottles."

Wen Ran stuck out her tongue and helped Du Di sit down on one of the long benches by the riverside. "Let me go buy you a cup of hot drink."

He said, "No need, sitting here for a while will do."

Wen Ran stayed with him to enjoy the evening breeze by the riverside; the spring wind carried a hint of chill. Du Di was wearing a suit and an overcoat, so Wen Ran wasn’t worried about him catching a cold from the wind. Perhaps due to Ye Feimo’s influence, she was very sensitive to changes in temperature.

After sitting for a while, Du Di stood up, and Wen Ran accompanied him as they strolled along the riverside night scene. First, he boarded a river cruise and bought two tickets; Wen Ran had no objections and sent Ye Feimo a text message telling him she wouldn’t be home until later so not to wait for her.

Ye Feimo replied with three characters: Got it.aded towards the beach in grand style.Having many cars was advantageous for Su Man; though they were quite a number of them, there was enough space in the vehicles. Mo Yue and Little White were among...
