Moyao really snorted from his nose, leaving Mo Xiaobai flabbergasted. He wanted to say something more, but Moyao waved his hand dismissively, making Mo Xiaobai even more bewildered. No matter how he looked at it, this posture seemed like an imperial way of saying, "I am tired; you may all take your leave."

Mosiaobai was moved to tears, thinking that the boss truly lived up to his title—even when ill, he still acted like a leader.

Sigh, if they must take their leave, then so be it.

Xiaobai quietly slipped out. As he watched television and peeled some fruit—the kind the boss liked—news of an odd murder case was being reported on TV. This so-called oddity referred to a blood-stained crime scene with no evidence found. Apparently, someone had sabotaged the city's surveillance cameras at that time, leaving the culprit unidentified. Three victims were involved, two dead and one injured. These three individuals were fugitives from California State Prison: two of them murderers and the other a rapist—criminals all. However, the killer didn't have the authority to take their lives, hence the case was handed over to federal police since destroying city surveillance wasn't just ordinary crime.

Mosiaobai pursed his lips as he suddenly recalled an issue: The boss had gone out today with his true appearance, and someone had seen him. If this person were to spread the word... Mo Xiaobai frowned; there weren’t many people who looked like the boss. If they pieced together the clues, it wouldn't be good. They often used their true faces without masks.

He felt a bit anxious; he should have left no traces. When he arrived, that person was lying on the ground, and he had thought him dead. He didn’t pay much attention to him back then because there couldn’t be any witnesses to this incident. Mo Xiaobai went upstairs, but Moyao was already asleep. Leaving a note behind, he stepped out and called some members of the mafia to guard the villa until his return.

Moyao changed clothes and drove another car to the hospital.

Killing for Mo Baixue was not something ordinary; when he was around fifteen or sixteen, that was the peak period of his killings. Later on, missions assigned by Mo Yao seldom involved killing, and in recent years, such tasks had become very rare.

The man's waistbone was shattered, leaving him paralyzed from the lower half of his body. Mo Baixue thought to himself that it would have been better if he were dead. There were two federal police officers guarding outside, and it was said that the man hadn't yet regained consciousness; however, he was expected to wake up within an hour.

This mission should have been quite simple, but Mo Baixue didn't anticipate running into Pike and Ji Bing at the hospital. It seemed that Pike wasn't feeling well, and so Ji Bing accompanied him to the hospital. Unfortunately for him, Ji Bing happened to be the chief physician there. Although Mo Baixue had changed his mask, this sense of familiarity couldn’t be disguised by a mere change in appearance; hence, Mo Baixue was very cautious, fearing any encounter with them...

He watched as they entered the chief physician's office. Since it wasn't safe for him to get too close, he could only observe from afar. He didn’t move around that corridor, lest he run into them face-to-face; by the time they came out of the room, twenty minutes had already passed.

Ji Bing went to help Pike fetch medicine while Pike went to receive his injections at the injection room. When the chief physician left the office, Mo Baixue entered and checked through the medical records from the rounds. It was still half an hour until the next round of checks.

Mo Baixue changed into a doctor's coat and donned a mask, waiting for his turn to conduct the checkup.

His height wasn’t too different from that of Westerners, and he had brought colored contact lenses. Mo Baixue was meticulous in handling affairs and rarely made mistakes; he carried several pairs of colored contacts, all common shades among Americans. After observing the chief physician's eyes, he knew which pair to use—the emerald green ones.

Arriving ten minutes early for his rounds, his height and figure already closely resembled that of the chief physician. He easily entered the office, quickly injected poison into the man’s IV tube without drawing attention, then silently retreated.

This had all been going smoothly until he stepped out and encountered Ji Bing, who said she had lost her prescription and needed him to write another one. Ink Wei Bai hummed in acknowledgment but inwardly cursed his bad luck, wishing only to take her away from there. But Ji Bing found it odd that Tang Doctor seemed different now, and couldn't help asking, "Doctor Tang, are you Doctor Tang Why do you seem so different compared to before"

The federal police officer was not paying close attention, but Ji Bing is meticulous and noticed something off about his hairstyle. As soon as she spoke up, Ink Wei Bai felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up; he then heard a door open, likely the policeman entering to investigate.

It just so happened that this was at a corner turn, and Ink Wei Bai turned around it and ran full speed. Ji Bing was completely bewildered as two police officers came running after him, reporting the situation to their superiors— they had been investigating a murder case. Upon realizing what she had seen, Ji Bing shuddered in fright.

Ink Wei Bai dashed down the stairs. He didn't take the elevator until he reached the third floor; meanwhile, nearby police officers were already cordoning off all hospital exits to screen for suspicious individuals. Ink Wei Bai frowned, realizing this was becoming quite a difficult situation indeed.

There are no other ways out of this hospital, making it rather challenging to leave.

Ink Wei Bai sneered and proceeded to the men's restroom, removing his doctor's coat, tossing away his colored contacts and mask down the toilet, then discarding his gloves by burning them. In an instant, he transformed into the world-renowned superstar once more.

With a confident stride, Ink Wei Bai left the men’s restroom. He sought out Parker, who was busy giving someone an injection. Seeing him, Parker looked surprised but not overly concerned; Parker had a habit of forgetting things easily and wouldn’t hold grudges. When Parker saw that he came to the hospital thinking he might be sick, asking after his health, Ink Wei Bai replied there was nothing wrong but asked what was troubling him in return. It turned out to be just minor discomfort which would be resolved with an injection. Upon hearing this, Parker relaxed and continued receiving his treatment, so Ink Wei Bai stayed to wait for him.

"I came here to pick up medicine for my brother and saw you, so I thought I’d drop by to say hello," Ink Wei Bai explained, apologizing for the other day’s incident. Parker waved it off dismissively. Soon enough, Ji Bing came down, visibly shaken, spotting Ink Wei Bai and immediately throwing herself into his arms. Ink Wei Bai asked innocently, "What scared you so"

Season Ice said, "It's so scary! Someone pretended to be Doctor Tang and committed murder. I even met him. It’s so terrifying. Fortunately, he didn’t take me as a hostage; it scared the living daylights out of me."

Murky Xiao Bai苦笑, You scared me half to death, you nearly scared me to death.

Fortunately, it was Season Ice; if it were someone else, he would have beaten them to death.

Parker asked, "Is it really true"

"It's true! When I came down, there were so many police officers. It’s scary. The murderer must still be in the hospital. As long as they don’t hurt others, that would be fine." Season Ice said with lingering fear. Parker replied, "I was wondering what happened and got this scared. Police aren't pushovers; they'll definitely find the culprit. Don’t worry."

Murky Xiao Bai also smiled and agreed, "Yes, American police are really capable; they’ll catch the murderer for sure. Just be at ease."

Season Ice nodded her head, "Why would someone kill Wouldn't killers have nightmares at night I’m scared even when I see a dead body."

Murky Xiao Bai sneered inwardly; she was afraid Gu Babu had just finished work and would take three months off to spend time with her sons. She didn't understand why Mo Chen was watching them from a distance. He seemed to want to join their group...
