Mu Chen was a master with extraordinary abilities. At the age of twenty-three, he enrolled in and attended one year of university purely out of his desire to find a woman he had once heard about who mentioned she wanted to go to XX University, which was her dream school. Mu Chen deduced that she must have been exceptionally intelligent since she could attend college at sixteen years old. So he eagerly signed up for classes, using his extraordinary means to enroll in the university class just to search for this woman among a vast sea of people. However, after not finding her, he deliberately chose a major she would like and ended up spending one year there. The most significant outcome was meeting many young women and men around twenty years old. Mu Chen had an excellent rapport with girls, but his charm wasn't like that of Mo Xiaobai's flirtatious kind; rather, the girls often treated him as a brotherly figure.
Thus, within one day, Mu Chen contacted several single, reputable women who were in good terms with him to introduce them potential boyfriends. Consequently, these people happily came for blind dates.
This time around, they all hailed from different fields such as law, judgeship, medicine, and investment banking... Yet this round of matchmaking ended up a failure since unlike their subordinates who admired Mo Yao, these individuals were societal elites with integrity and wealth. They had no need for anything else, so naturally, Mo Yao didn't pass their scrutiny.
The main reason was that he was too reserved; hardly speaking at all. Girls tend to prefer lively and humorous men; even if one looks good, it's useless if they're not communicative. Whether dating or living together, such a quiet person would be extremely dull.
Mu Chen’s classmates expressed their frustration to him: "Brother, you’re so handsome yet have such an unapproachable personality. Compared to you, he is worlds apart! Are you truly brothers"
Mu Chen was equally bewildered; he had proactively introduced his big brother after all. This time around, when Mo Yao failed in the dating process, there wasn't much else that could be done. The Unparalleled London let out a hearty laugh and suggested finding a boyfriend for him.
Mu Chen’s classmates engaged in discussions akin to those with the Unparalleled London: Should they introduce a dominant partner or a submissive one
The Unparalleled London was speechless, staring at Mu Chen as if he were an alien and shouted, "What are you talking about Our big brother is clearly type 1!"
Mu Chen blinked innocently; while his appearance may be type 0, based on personality, Mo Yao is undoubtedly a type 1. However, Mu Chen liked to go against the norm and thus sought out several strong-looking men at a nightclub on Friday night for dates with Mo Yao.
The situation was dire.
The venue remained a café; it seemed that Mo Yao had no objection towards dating men, only frowning without saying anything. Mu Chen took this as tacit approval and thus the gentleman misunderstood something or perhaps Mu Chen hadn't explained clearly enough. He attempted to flirt with Mo Yao but ended up having his arm held back while being rendered helpless; he wept bitterly and Mu Chen nearly choked on air.
What sort of situation was this
Then, he sternly warned the next few individuals not to repeat the same mistakes. However, these people were just pretending to be scared and quickly left after receiving their money; this made Mo Chen's heart sink.
He then turned his attention towards his friends, but there weren't many who shared his interests. He couldn't possibly go around promoting it among gangsters, so Mo Chen felt rather frustrated.
Around that time, he realized that the leader didn’t like bulky types and started searching for more delicate-looking individuals instead. However, the leader still wasn't impressed, showing no aggression as long as these people left him alone; thus, this matchmaking process reached a deadlock.
"Boss, what kind of person do you actually like" Mo Chen was nearly on his knees pleading with the boss. Mo Yao frowned; he liked someone like Bai Xue, but there was only one such person in the world.
Even those who weren't as pure as snow couldn’t compare to a group of trash.
...
Bai Liu carried his backpack and sketchbook into a café, immediately sensing something strange. A group of handsome men were surrounding an exceptionally beautiful man with mild manners, whispering among themselves. The man looked quite agitated, breaking the calmness on his face. Occasionally, he would glance towards an outdoor seating area where a man in a white shirt and black pants was sitting. He had his back turned to Bai Liu, so Bai Liu couldn't see his face.
Bai Liu sat down and called a waiter over for a cup of coffee.
He took off his backpack, opened his sketchbook, and admired his own works. There was still one unfinished castle painting he had to finish, so he picked up his brush and happily continued with his drawing, ignoring the strange atmosphere in the café.
Bai Liu was a man who could completely immerse himself in his thoughts; once focused on something, nothing else mattered to him. Mo Chen lifted his head after discussing matters with Feng Lei Dian and saw Bai Liu sitting unexpectedly yet harmoniously at an outdoor table of the café. He had a steaming cup of coffee beside him along with a piece of mousse cake; he was holding his sketchbook and drawing something.
This man truly looked like an angel, Mo Chen thought to himself.
He had beautiful black hair that hung gently down his back. His skin was fair, and despite being petite in build, he wasn't short at all. He couldn’t be considered handsome, but his delicate facial features were soft and clear-cut, like crystal, radiating a gentle beauty unique to the East with an unbelievable sense of refinement. His white shirt paired well with a sky-blue coat and long pants; his attire was neat and tidy.
When Bai Liu noticed someone looking at him, he lifted his gaze and saw Mo Chen. He paused for a moment but continued drawing without lingering on Mo Chen’s appearance any longer.
Cloud asked, "Who is this person"
"I don't know." Lightning said. They had rented out the entire café for the boss's blind date, so they were puzzled as to how this person got in. Black Ink Morning turned around and would have a word with him later; it was an inexperienced waiter who didn't understand the rules, and he walked away dejectedly to ask White Willow to leave. White Willow frowned at him once, but the waiter explained it in English. White Willow pursed his lips and looked over at Black Ink Morning again before quietly lowering his head and continuing to paint.
Black Ink Morning waved his hand dismissively; he wouldn't bother with a child’s antics, so the waiter could leave.
White Willow continued painting while Black Ink Morning had someone else go on a blind date with Black Ink Distant. However, Black Ink Distant lost interest and left after sitting down for a moment, making Black Ink Morning grit his teeth in frustration; today was ruined.
Black Ink Morning turned around just as White Willow raised his head, their eyes meeting unexpectedly. Black Ink Distant was surprised to see him here; White Willow’s eyebrows lifted as he looked over at Black Ink Distant and smiled slightly with his brush in hand. In the sunlight, White Willow's smile seemed warm like hot water, ripples gently forming.
Black Ink Distant walked over and sat across from White Willow to everyone’s stunned gaze. "How did you end up here"
"Traveling!" replied White Willow. Black Ink Distant looked at the travel bag by his side and then glanced at his sketchbook, smiling a little. A sixteen-year-old boy traveling with just a backpack was indeed rebellious and free-spirited.
"Are you an art school student" asked Black Ink Distant.
White Willow was extremely surprised. "Student"
He pointed at himself, clearly confused. "I’ve already finished two bachelor’s degrees and a master's."
Black Ink Distant was also taken aback; he didn't look particularly old. "How old are you"
"Twenty-three." Black Ink Distant couldn’t believe his ears. He had heard that one shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but this was the first time he'd seen someone so unassuming for their age. At twenty-three, he looked like no more than sixteen or seventeen. Even his tall and slender figure Black Ink Distant attributed to over-nutrition; it never occurred to him that he could be an adult.
White Willow was used to others' reactions to him, so Black Ink Distant's surprise didn’t last long. After all, this person had saved his life, and he felt grateful towards him. That day, if not for White Willow, he wouldn't have been able to rest properly and might well have collapsed.
The wound and emotional blow hit him hard; no matter how strong he is, he would fall.
Bai Liu had the scent of a traveler. He seemed to be not much of a talker. When he saw Mo Yao sitting beside him, he occasionally looked up and asked him questions such as, "Are you Chinese"
"My nationality is Italian."
Bai Liu understood that it meant he was an American-born Chinese.
Mo Yao could guess from his appearance. He had very Oriental features. The Mandarin he spoke was so pure and genuine, otherwise Mo Yao would have thought he was a Japanese man or a Korean beauty boy. Such young men were gentle and beautiful, like the usual TV stars who are pretty boys.
Mo Yao thanked him once again for saving his life. Bai Liu smiled and nodded as an acceptance without saying too many courteous words. Mo Yao noticed that his penmanship was very sharp and his painting style was smooth and clean, flowing effortlessly without any pauses at all.
"Are you a painter"
Bai Liu chuckled, "From young, I had this dream of becoming an artist, but now it's gone. It has become merely my hobby; I use these two years to mourn for that dream and then return to work."
Mo Yao said, "Your paintings are beautiful."
"Really" he asked in surprise, like a child who loved being acknowledged positively. Mo Yao nodded. Bai Liu was very happy, so much so that he offered to treat Mo Yao to coffee. Of course, Mo Yao did not refuse him; he treated Bai Liu as a young man. Although he said he was 23 years old, he still looked like 16 in every way. A clean and pure youth with a beautiful body and soul - Mo Yao found it comfortable.
For a long time, no one had made him feel so at ease; there was no hostility from Bai Liu, who was soft as clouds. His smile was also very pleasant, seemingly everything about him exuded softness, making people around him feel that they could fall asleep comfortably.
Bai Liu suddenly glanced at Mo Yao with a slight curve in his brows, "How about I paint your portrait"
Mo Yao noticed that his sketchbook was almost filled with landscape paintings. He hated taking photos and keeping records of things, but seeing Bai Liu's good mood, he thought to himself that since it would be for repaying the favor of saving his life, this request was not unreasonable.r asked Chen Xueru, "Miss Xuieru, since everyone is so familiar now, we’ll definitely go out to play often in the future.
