a dazzling smile and decided to forget about the whole thing; there's nothing she can't face, remembering it only brings her discomfort."In short, as long as you're fine, we'll handle all other issue...769 A Fatal Slap

Moxiao Bai took dozens of photos of Moyer, who was getting a bit impatient. Smiling sweetly, he approached an Asian woman sitting nearby and asked for her help; she was charmed by his smile and readily agreed to take the pictures. Moxiao hopped over to Moyer's side and said with a grin, "Brother, let's take some photos. I haven't taken any photos with you in ages."

The last time they had taken photos must have been years ago; he thought it was time for the photo on his bedside table to be updated.

Moyer seemed surprised; Moxiao had already wrapped an arm around his shoulder. The woman was very efficient, and since both men were good-looking, she snapped away like a machine, taking candid shots as well as posed ones. Moyer suddenly felt this pose was a bit embarrassing; he wanted to kick him but thought it would look too feminine. So he simply stood still.

Moyer returned to his seat first while Moxiao thanked the woman and walked over to him. She whispered, "Hey, are you two a couple"

Moxiao was taken aback; she added with heart-shaped eyes, "You guys look so well-matched."

Moxiao wiped his forehead in surprise as he returned to his seat and showed Moyer the photos. He boasted about how handsome he looked. Moyer shot him an icy glance—was it something to be proud of for a man to be good-looking

"As long as you're human, being good-looking is a matter to be proud of," Moxiao retorted confidently.

Moyer ignored him while Moxiao gloated. Once they had their seats, the group drank coffee—Moxiao ordered champagne while the others had cappuccinos and snacks like sausage.

Both Moxiao and Moyer preferred curried sausages; Bailiu was completely overlooked but decided to order the same thing too. He could tell something felt off.

During their photo session, Bailiu's heart had been pierced by a tiny arrow. The feeling was indescribable.

Moxiao gloated for a while before Parker called him; he walked away to take the call. Bailiu asked Moyer, "Is that who you like"

Moyer was looking at his phone which had their photos as well as scenery shots; it wasn't often that Moxiao took pictures on his phone so there weren't many in the photo album. Surprisingly, he didn't see any pictures of women.

Bailiu's question took a while to register; he nodded faintly and looked at Moxiao across from him: "You're surprised."

Bailiu was serious as he nodded again—indeed somewhat taken aback. He never expected that the person Moyer liked would be his brother. But seeing their photos, he knew how much Moyer adored the man by his side; it was a love so deep and tender, almost as if Moyer wanted to treat him like a precious flower in his hands. Bailiu had never seen such an expression from Moyer before. He thought that if those eyes were directed at him instead...

Moyer said, "I really... everyone can tell I like him."

Everyone but himself.

"It's not because you're incapable of hiding it; it's because you never had the intention to hide it, so everyone can see," Bailiu said with pursed lips. "I always thought someone else was your type. Since he isn't around and you don’t go anywhere else, you mustn’t have been in touch for ages. I assumed that over time, feelings would fade away. But unexpectedly, the person is actually his brother—blood relations are unbreakable. It’s just me thinking too much."

Moyer said, "Don't you find it... disgusting"

"Where is it dirty"

Moyao said, "I actually liked my own brother. When I was very young, I had desires for my brother's body. Even back then when he was just a child, I felt... an uncontrollable attraction towards him."

Baoliu said, "I have no prejudice against such things. Loving someone is everyone's right; who we love isn't something we can control. So, loving whom you do isn't dirty, it’s just that... where do I stand in your life Am I just a passerby"

Moyao was momentarily stunned and didn’t know how to answer Baoliu's question. He wasn't just a passerby; if there were any possibility, he would want to be very good friends with Baoliu. Who said that there can never be pure friendship between men and women Then could their ambiguous relationship ever have pure friendship Moyao wasn’t sure but he didn’t want to lose such a friend as Baoliu. Back then, if possible, he even wanted to spend his whole life with him.

But after getting injured, the words that Moyanxi said made him slightly uncertain again and made him shamefully wish for something that wasn't his.

"I’ve been wanting to ask you this question a long time ago. You know that your brother doesn’t trust me at all; he didn’t even give us any alone time, so I never got the chance to ask. Now, if I don’t ask now, there might not be an opportunity anymore," Baoliu said. His face still showed his usual light and easygoing demeanor but inside, he was nervous, waiting for someone's response to his feelings, awaiting a decision that would determine whether he felt like in heaven or hell. It was very uneasy.

Moyao didn’t say anything, Baoliu said, "I heard him say that he has a girlfriend whom he’s going to marry, can you tolerate it"

Moyao frowned; Baoliu continued, “You once said that you would try with me.”

This was the limit of Baoliu's demands; any more submissive words, and he couldn't bring himself to say them. Baoliu’s bottom line only went this far. Moyao didn’t think him weak but rather brave. If he could have a bit of that courage...

Moyao said, "After we heal from our injuries, I’ll give you an answer then, okay"

Baoliu was somewhat disappointed yet understood that before their injury healed, there were places where he couldn’t go; he could only stay with him. Baoliu continued, “When we return to Rome, I want an answer from you. If you’re willing to try with me then let’s start, if not, it will be my regret and I’ll leave.”

Moyao knew that Baoliu didn’t use tactics or schemes; this was his nature. If Moyao wasn't willing to restart their relationship, he would never casually remain by Moyao's side and so, he would definitely depart.

Moyao nodded, “Alright, I’ll agree with you.”

Baoliu smiled and nodded, and when Moyanxi came back from his call, Moyao asked, "What’s up"

"Nothing. Peke is urging me to go back," said Moyanxi, a slight displeasure on his face.

In contrast with his previous silence, Baoliu remarked, “You must be very busy then if that's the case, you don’t need to stay here and take care of us. Yun’s presence is enough, besides we’re already half healed and able to manage our daily lives.”

"What business is it of yours" Moyanxi asked in an unkind tone.

Moyao gave him a warning look; Baoliu said, "I can’t interfere either, but I’m concerned about you. You seem to be focusing all your thoughts on work."

"Thanks," Moyanxi replied indifferently, and Baoliu smiled in a refined manner. Knowing that they were in such an ambiguous relationship, Moyanxi wasn't deliberately targeting him, so his mood improved.

When he was in a good mood, he naturally had the spirit to banter with Mo Xiaobai. For the entire afternoon, Mo Yao heard them trading insults and mocking each other indirectly. It seemed that Bai Liu had decided to vent all his pent-up frustration from recent days; speaking without turning a shade of red at all. Mo Xiaobai was an expert negotiator and did not back down either. So the two of them began treating Mo Yao like a ghost.

Frankly, Mo Yao didn’t really approve of their way of interacting with each other, but he also knew that it was his fault to some extent. It wasn’t without its entertainment value watching them bicker; after all, Bai Liu was someone from Linglong and could be quite amusing.

When they returned home in the afternoon, Mo Yao went back to rest while Mo Xiaobai blocked Bai Liu at his room door.

“Paleface, what do you think you’re doing today”

He had been sullen and quiet for days like a little wife. It was unusual that he should act out of character today.

Had the oppressed become the oppressor

Bai Liu said, "When you call others paleface, take a look at yourself."

Moxiaobai pulled his collar and said, "Smelly brat, do you want to fight"

Men often solved their problems with fists. It was the right way.

Bai Liu gave him an icy smile as he looked at Mo Xiaobai’s hand. "What does it mean Is bullying a wounded person really that impressive"

Moxiaobai tossed him into his room without minding if Bai Liu fell and slammed the door, rolling up his sleeves. “I’m actually **ing bullying a wounded person right now. Get up.”

Bai Liu cursed as Mo Xiaobai wasn’t playing around. This shove had shaken his wound; it really hurt. Luckily Ye Fei Mo was someone who liked luxury and the room was carpeted thickly, or else he would have been worse off.

"Scaredy-cat!" Bai Liu sat on the floor as he leaned tiredly against the sofa. Moxiaobai flew into a rage and lunged forward to punch him twice. "What did you just say"

He was someone with self-control; his fists hadn’t hit Bai Liu’s wound. Bai Liu looked at him, half-smiling and then pointed at Mo Xiaobai as he started laughing until he had almost injured himself internally. Moxiaobai lost all sense of shame and coldly kicked him a few times. Bai Liu was still smiling. Moxiaobai was furious; where was his grace What happened to it They were the same age, yet why did Bai Liu seem less mature and childish than he did What kind of behavior was this It was too undignified, far too undignified.

So Mo Xiaobai calmed down. Bai Liu pointed at him as he said, "What do you mean by getting mad at me for no reason You’re taking it out on me There’s nothing I’ve done to piss you off. Could it be that you got angry because Moyao likes me That would really suck. What are you even so angry about"

“I can’t stand seeing your annoying self.” Mo Xiaobai stubbornly denied this, and he beat him up only because of Moyao. Bai Liu was not someone who could be easily fooled; with a smile, he said, “Don’t deny it then. Just look at the way you’re looking at Moyao; even an idiot can tell something’s wrong. Isn’t everyone a fool Is that how you look at your older brother”

Mo Xiaobai was pricked to his core by this loathsome person, and he flew into another rage but didn’t know how to vent it. He wanted to hit Bai Liu again but if he injured him, then the boss would definitely punish him.

Huffing angrily at Bai Liu, Mo Xiaobai said, "Stop spreading rumors; shut your mouth."

“Why are you so anxious Why are you so anxious Am I not saying anything right” Bai Liu smiled. Though Mo Xiaobai looked down on him from a height, he seemed quite comfortable and there was no trace of humility in his attitude. “When you have the time, take out that photo and look at your eyes carefully. My popularity isn’t all that great; I’m not someone who everyone hates either. Why am I so despised by you You’ve been targeting me since day one, being against me everywhere. Don’t tell me you think I’m an idiot and can’t see through it It’s all because of Moyao, because Moyao got injured for my sake this time around, because Moyao cares about me; then you’re unhappy. Are you happy when he shows interest in others You’re jealous.”

“I’m not!” Mo Xiaobai shouted.

Bai Liu said, "You don't Look at the way you're behaving; it’s not a jealous look. What is it then I tell you, how selfish can you be Mo Yao loved you for so many years, and no one asked anything from him in return. You even have a fiancée now. Why won’t you let him go Why do you want to hold onto just him Such a good person shouldn't he deserve happiness too Are you that self-centered that only you can make him happy Don’t your numerous romantic rumors, most of them true, bother him seeing others with other women while he can’t have someone by his side You are really selfish. Do you want him to watch you get married and be happy Do you want your brother to say ‘till death do us part’ at your wedding Or would you like Mo Yao to serve as your best man"

"I didn’t!" Mo Baixue was almost blinded with anger, refuting Bai Liu fiercely. But all he could think of was that one sentence; the more he argued, the colder Bai Liu’s smile became.

He said, "You did, you’re such a selfish person! You want him to watch you get married, be happy, and secretly sleep with you or kiss you. Or let him wait until you divorce your wife Oh no, even after that, he probably won’t be on your mind; instead, you’ll find another woman. Is Mo Yao so worthless in your eyes Can you do whatever you want Did you ever think about him Does being selfish mean liking someone You trample his self-respect and dignity underfoot for your own happiness. Do you call that loving him"

"Shut up! Shut up!" Mo Baixue suddenly lunged forward, grabbed Bai Liu’s collar with one hand and punched him with the other. Each punch was heavier than the last, as if each of Bai Liu's words cut deeper into his heart. It felt like this man had exposed all his ugly secrets that no one knew about, hurting Mo Baixue until he couldn’t take it anymore. He just wanted Bai Liu to shut up and not say any more hurtful things. So engrossed was he in the fight that he didn’t realize he’d knocked Bai Liu out cold. The locked door suddenly flew open as Yun He’s leader rushed in, looking shocked by the scene. Mo Yao pulled Mo Baixue away; Bai Liu lay on the ground unconscious, with a black eye and swollen face, blood continuously flowing from his nose. His gunshot wound had also reopened; there was no time to look at it. Calmly, Mo Yao instructed Yun He, "Call that German doctor immediately."

Bai Liu was barely breathing. There’s no doubt that one more second later and with Mo Baixue's punches, he would have been dead. Mo Yao did a quick stop bleeding for Bai Liu, then turned to look at Mo Baixue, whose eyes were unfocused as if in a daze. Mo Yao walked up to him and slapped him hard.

"Go back to Washington," the man’s merciless voice was more painful than that slap; his face burned with pain, making him finally come to his senses and realize what he had done—his eyes wide.

Moving his hand to cover his face, Mo Baixue’s voice shook, "You slapped me"

Even though injured himself, the slap was not light. It completely wiped away Mo Yao's rationality when he thought about it: that he had hit him for Bai Liu. The grief and hatred in his eyes were indescribable. He who loved Baixue tenderly and cherished him like a pearl—had slapped him so hard. Yun He was also shocked.

This was even more shocking than the senior almost losing his life because of a man; he had actually hit Bai Xiaoxue.

Momentarily, Mo Yao regretted it. His right hand kept trembling, and he clenched his fist tightly to stop its shaking. He knew how hard he had struck, with an unimaginable amount of strength due to his anger at the time. The redness on Baixue’s face couldn’t be covered up by his hands.

But should he apologize

No way! Why should he apologize

He saw Bai Liu almost killed by Mo Baixue; now he was barely breathing. If Yun He hadn't come to call him, hearing the commotion, who knew if someone else could have stopped Bai Xiaoxue in time This slap was already too light.

Moving his jaw and biting down hard on his tongue, Mo Baixue’s eyes filled with tears but he refused to let them drop. "Alright, alright, very well. I understand."

He turned around and walked out of the room; Mo Yao felt as if someone had ripped a piece out of his heart, leaving it sore and numb. How could he hurt Bai Xiaoxue Even if Baixue was in the wrong, he should have talked to him calmly instead of hitting him like this. Kicking him or slapping him were completely different acts. When Ye Wei is angry she likes to slap people on their heads and hit them, but she never laid a hand on her children’s face—except for Bai Xiaoxue.

After Mo Baixue left the room, Yun He heard car noises soon after. Yun He rushed to the window; he was alarmed. This isn’t safe! How fast is he driving Bai Xiaoxue loved speeding already, now that his emotions were out of control, it could be dangerous.

Mosir said irritably, "Just let him go. Being so stubborn won't change anything."boundaries.This also had something to do with their environment and personalities. Although all strong men, their upbringing environments differed greatly from childhood, as did internal atmospheres....
